Tecogen Inc produces commercial and industrial natural gas fueled engine driven, combined heat and power products. Its products include natural gas engine-driven combined heat and power, air conditioning systems, water heaters, chillers and emission control products. The company generates the majority of its revenues from long-term maintenance and energy production contracts. Its existing customers include hospitals, offices, hotels, military installations, municipal buildings etc. It operates in two business segments. Products and Services segment designs, manufactures and sells industrial and commercial cogeneration systems. Energy Production segment sells energy in the form of electricity, heat, hot water and cooling.
