iShares Global Clean Energy Index ETF

The investment objective of the Fund is to provide long-term capital growth by replicating, to the extent possible, the performance, net of expenses, of an index selected at the discretion of BlackRock Canada that is composed of securities of issuers that could benefit from the long-term growth and innovation in genomics, immunology and bioengineering, as determined by the index provider. The Fund currently seeks to replicate the performance of the NYSE FactSet Global Genomics and Immuno Biopharma Index Under normal market conditions, the Fund will primarily invest in securities of one or more exchange-traded funds managed by BlackRock or an affiliate or international equity securities. Generally, developments in genomics (utilizing DNA to tailor medical treatments) and immunology (using the bodys immune system to fight disease) innovate the field of medicine and develop new ways to fight disease… To achieve its investment objective the Fund uses an indexing strategy.
